Plastic Vacuum Forming
Some time ago we completed the creation of a simple vacuum forming plastic machine. Basically, the design refers to the previous model which proved very reliable and strong. There is a fairly fundamental difference compared with previous models.
- Broadly working area, 23x70 cm
- New system for mold holder.
Based on previous experience, especially with the negative mold. The old design is not profitable to print a negative because it is more 'wasteful' material. It means a lot of wastage of material at the margins. Would be clearer if you compare the following images:

A, Margin, the unused
B, Part
The new design accommodates the needs of the process of printing a negative to a depth of 7cm. To be more flexible toward depth of print, several panels required with different thickness, be used to adjust the surface of the mold in order to align with plastic sheets. Another advantage in this way is a better result, the thickness of plastic is more controlled and there is no radius at the edge of the part. Crispy ... ...

The first experiment is to make the envelope of K type Air Blimp. In accordance with the plan, the envelope consists of three parts left, right and front. The front is made separately because we need the detail on the front. In addition, the construction will strengthen the left and right parts connections. For this experiment we need three negative mold.
At this point there are two options, female mold or male master model. Which one would you choose ?
